BPB continues its support for children
After the last activity that BPB had implemented in support of the children only a few days ago, BPB has again pledged its support and contribution to the children of the country, by becoming part of the EBRD’s Community Initiative.
The initative aims at collecting funds in support of the Care for Kosovo Kids (CfKK) foundation, established in 2013. The foundation aims at supporting Kosovan children diagnosed with cancer, by enabling the necessary medical treatment and access to medicine and medicinal facilities.
‘In lack of finances, many children diagnosed with cancer do not have the opportunity to treat the disease in the appropriate manner. As a local bank, we surely support the community where we are active at because we are part of this community.’, says Mr. Arton Celina, CEO at BPB.
‘By supporting such initiatives and others, we help secure equal, early and the appropriate treatment for all the children of Kosovo, without any distinction.’, says Mr. Celina during the conversation.
Unable to carry out the costs of the medical treatment, cancer is the cause to many deaths amongst children in Kosovo. Through donations, Care for Kosovo Kids offers the necessary treatment to around 60 children each year.
BPB will continue to support activities of social responsibility, by supporting the community it operates in. For two consecutive years, BPB is given ‘Fastest Growing’ and ‘Best CSR Bank’ award in Kosovo, by the global prestigious institution ‘Global Banking and Finance’ (GBAF).
