He has over thirty years\u2019 experience in banking and finance in emerging, developing and frontier markets worldwide. At the CDC Group (now British International Investment), he built and managed the financial institutions team, responsible for new investments and loans to CDC\u2019s financial sector clients in Asia, Africa and Latin America. He was CEO of a finance company operating in Havana in Cuba.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He worked for Actis LLP (emerging markets private equity) before joining EBRD (European Bank of Reconstruction &amp; Development). At EBRD, he specialised in equity investment in financial institutions overseeing both new business and portfolio investment in banks and other financial services businesses throughout the EBRD region. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Nabavi is trained and qualified as a chartered accountant in the UK. He holds an MA from Oxford University. He is currently a Director of First Bank SA in Romania and was formerly a member of the Supervisory Board of Union Bank of Albania.
