Women in Business
Supporting women who drive business growth and economic development.
Through our Women in Business product, we aim to support women entrepreneurs by facilitating access to finance and creating more opportunities for their businesses to grow and develop.
This product is designed for businesses that meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Businesses where women hold more than 50% of shares or ownership.
- Businesses with at least one female owner or co-owner.
- Businesses led or managed by women.
BPB's Commitment to the WE Finance Code
As part of our commitment to women’s economic empowerment, BPB is a signatory to the WE Finance Code (Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code), an international initiative led in Kosovo by the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and financial sector institutions.
The initiative aims to reduce the barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing finance by developing tailored financial products and services, improving the collection and analysis of gender-disaggregated data, and promoting equal opportunities within the financial sector.
