For seven days, Peja became a vibrant meeting point for animation, film, and creativity, bringing stories, ideas, and perspectives from Kosovo, the region, and around the world to the screen and into the city’s spaces.

The 17th edition of Anibar, held from July 12 to 18, featured a rich program of animated films, workshops, masterclasses, presentations, discussions with filmmakers and international guests, exhibitions, children’s programs, music, and activities held across various venues in Peja.

As part of the film program, 171 films from 45 countries were presented, selected from more than 2,100 submissions. The films were screened across five festival venues and competed in categories including the International Competition, Student Competition, Balkan Competition, Human Rights Competition, Animated Music Video Competition, and Young Audience Competition.

The program was further enriched with animated documentaries, experimental films, a VR program, feature-length films, and curated programs from various countries and collectives. One of the special highlights was the Swiss Focus, featuring films, industry professionals, masterclasses, and workshops.

For the third consecutive year, BPB was proud to support Anibar — a festival that, through art and animation, creates space for new ideas, emerging talent, and stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and discussed.

Because supporting culture means investing in creativity, in the community, and in creating a space where ideas can come to life.
